Ready to step into the legendary world of D&D but don't know where to start? The Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set is your perfect gateway to adventure. This complete introduction to tabletop roleplaying will have you and your friends creating epic stories in bite-sized, hour-long sessions that fit perfectly into game night.
What makes this starter set brilliant is the sheer scope packed into one box. We're talking 40-60 hours of adventures spanning the iconic Caves of Chaos Valley, the Keep on the Borderlands, and wild frontier territories. You get three full adventure booklets plus a play guide that teaches Dungeon Masters everything they need to know, including that clever Combat Tracker that makes running encounters a breeze.
Choose from four classic D&D classes—Cleric, Rogue, Wizard, or Fighter—and watch your character come alive through over 200 game cards covering everything from magical spells to fearsome monsters. The 18 beautifully illustrated maps spread across your table like a fantasy atlas, while 200+ tokens bring every encounter to life. Those 11 dice? They're going to see a lot of action.
The quick-start guide gets you playing within minutes, but the learn-as-you-go design means you're building real D&D skills without the overwhelm. Whether you're fighting goblins, exploring ancient ruins, or negotiating with suspicious NPCs, every choice shapes your story. Perfect for families, friend groups, or anyone curious about what makes D&D the world's greatest roleplaying game.
Once you've conquered the Borderlands, you'll be ready to join our regular D&D adventures here at the shop. San Diego's gaming community is always looking for new heroes, and this is where your legend begins.
