On September 21, 2016 -- his 82nd birthday -- Leonard Cohen presented the world with a gift: An internet stream of this album's eerie, mortality-themed title track featuring appearances by Montreal cantor Gideon Zellermyer and the choir from Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue. (Part of the song appeared in an episode of Peaky Blinders in June.)
