About the Toyota Crown UZS131:
The Toyota Crown UZS131 represents the eighth generation of Toyota's flagship luxury sedan, produced from 1987 to 1991. Known as the "S130 series," this generation Crown featured a more aerodynamic design and introduced the powerful 1UZ-FE V8 engine in certain variants. The Crown has been a symbol of Japanese luxury and prestige since 1955, and the UZS131 generation became particularly popular in VIP car culture for its elegant proportions and customization potential.
VIP Style & Blister Culture:
"Blister Style" refers to a specific aesthetic within Japanese VIP car culture, characterized by aggressive wheel fitment that creates a "blistered" appearance around the fenders, lowered suspension, and luxurious modifications. This style emerged in Japan during the late 1980s and 1990s, with the Toyota Crown being one of the quintessential platforms. VIP style represents the pinnacle of Japanese custom car culture, emphasizing elegance, presence, and meticulous attention to detail.
Why Aoshima Model Kits Are Premium:
Aoshima is one of Japan's most respected model kit manufacturers, renowned for their automotive kits that capture Japanese car culture with exceptional accuracy. Their kits feature sharp molding, excellent fit, comprehensive detail, and authentic representation of both stock and custom configurations. Aoshima's dedication to JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) vehicles makes them the go-to choice for builders who want authentic Japanese automotive models.
Building Tips: This intermediate-level kit requires modeling experience, plastic cement, paint, and finishing supplies. Take your time with assembly, test-fit parts before gluing, and consider using automotive-grade paints for the most realistic finish. The custom wheels and lowered stance require careful alignment for the authentic VIP look.
Display Potential: Once completed, this model makes an impressive display piece showcasing Japanese VIP car culture. The 1/24 scale is perfect for dioramas, display cases, or alongside other JDM model builds.
Whether you're a dedicated model builder, JDM enthusiast, Toyota Crown fan, VIP style collector, or Japanese car culture appreciator, this official Aoshima model kit delivers authentic detail and cultural significance. Secure this limited edition Japanese import before it's gone!
Note: This is an unassembled plastic model kit. Paint, glue, and modeling tools are required and not included. Recommended for experienced modelers ages 15+.
