Overview
The AFX 1966 Ford GT40 MkIIB #2 22031 captures the legendary Sebring-winning GT40 exactly as it crossed the finish line — complete with authentic race-worn details. Driven by Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby to victory at the 1966 12 Hours of Sebring, the Nightmist Blue #2 earned its place in motorsport history.
AFX's replica faithfully reproduces subtle period details: the paint scuff on the driver's door with its silver line above the handle, and the reflective 3M "roundel" number #2 with visible pop rivets. A story relayed by Carroll Shelby himself says the left door handle lifted at high speeds, prompting pit crew duct-tape fixes during the race — all part of the GT40's incredible history, now on the Mega G+ Short wheelbase chassis.
