The plan was to have Prince Sales employees purchase "Nissan Prince Dealers Club (NISSAN PDC.)" stickers for about 1,000 yen each to fund their racing activities and build a DR30 Skyline Group 5 racing car to compete in the race. This plan received more support than expected from Nissan's Research Center, and as a result, Nissan Works was able to enter the Super Silhouette race.
