A Texas native who was born in Plano and grew up in Tomball, the 20-year-old Hong recently completed his sophomore season at Stanford University where he helped the Cardinal win two team championships--their fourth and fifth in a row. Hong joined Paul Juda, Brody Malone, Stephen Nedoroscik, and Frederick Richard on the U.S. team that captured the first Men’s Gymnastics Olympic medal for Team USA since 2008. It was produced in conjunction with Asher Hong.
