Aftermath stands as a pivotal name in the annals of Arizona Metal, renowned for their distinctive brand of thrash - characterized by powerful, intricate compositions that resonate profoundly with fans of the genre's technical aspects.Originally recorded and self-released in 1988 on cassette, Building Up To Meltdown is set to receive the long-awaited vinyl treatment it rightfully deserves. This album is a must-listen for aficionados of American thrash metal. Despite the passage of 35 years, it's themes remain strikingly relevant: Are we truly on the brink of a meltdown? Is nuclear fallout looming?Featuring nine adrenaline-fueled tracks spanning 40 minutes of relentless thrash, Building Up To Meltdown follows the band's earlier release, Don't Cheer Me Up, recorded in 1987 during a prolific period for the Arizona metal scene. Despite facing numerous challenges and unexpected twists throughout their journey, Aftermath carved out a significant presence in the underground, sharing stages with local legends FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, as well as heavyweights such as METAL CHURCH, SLAYER, and KING DIAMOND. Prepare to relive this iconic album and immerse yourself in the unyielding energy of Aftermath as they reclaim their place in the spotlight.Limited to 300 copies (200 on black vinyl + 100 on orange vinyl), this edition includes:- 350g high-gloss cardboard cover- Insert with lyrics, liner notes and rare photos- Band promo photo- Hand numbered certificate card
