by Tom Treece (Author)

I've had many jobs since the first one when I was just a boy taking over the Monroe Evening Newspaper route of my big brother, Hal. My jobs since have included grocery store stock boy, factory worker, college student, clothing store salesman, department manager, hospital surgery scrub nurse, Army soldier, swimming pool construction worker, cable lineman, cable installer, auto mechanic, car salesman, house painter, record store clerk, motorcycle shop manager, head shop salesman, singer, songwriter, guitarist, recording artist, disc jockey, radio salesman, sales manager, station manager, general manager, public speaker, telethon host, ministry co-founder, author, city manager and finally - after coming full circle - I'm back where it all started: at the Monroe Evening News as a columnist Inside is a collection of essays and columns that share experiences, thoughts and perceptions of life along that journey.from carrier to columnist. I think you will enjoy them.but what do I know? Tom Treece and his wife, Renee, live in Monroe, Michigan, and cherish time with sons John, Nathan and grandsons, Drake and Gaige. He attended Lincoln Memorial University and Monroe Community College before being drafted into the US Army, serving with the Americal Division's 11th Light Infantry during the Vietnam War. The former singer, songwriter, guitarist and MCA recording artist fronts the CCM group, "Tom Treece & Cross Point," and authored current CD single, "The Wide Road." He is a columnist with the Monroe News and with Renee founded Guided Ministries featuring Tom as singer and public speaker; for booking: www.tomtreece.com. Tom authored "The Ghost Closet" about his return to build schools in Vietnam; all proceeds from that book were used to fund the Pho Phong Elementary School in the village where he served during the war, to which he and Renee will travel in the spring of 2008 to dedicate.
