Overview

The Castle Creations Hydra X 8S (010-0175-00) is a high-voltage, water-cooled brushless marine ESC engineered for serious RC boat builders. Based on the proven Mamba Monster X 8S platform, the Hydra X 8S swaps the air-cooled heatsink for a precision-machined water-cooled heatsink and aluminum top plate, delivering superior thermal control during sustained high-load operation.

Supporting up to 8S LiPo (33.6V), the Hydra X 8S is purpose-built to push high-performance monohull boats up to approximately 36 inches to their absolute limits. Castle's CRYO-DRIVE technology, adjustable BEC, data logging, and telemetry readiness make this one of the most refined marine ESCs available.

Housed in a rugged CNC-aluminum case and fully potted in waterproof epoxy, the Hydra X 8S is ready for marine duty straight out of the box. Integrated 0.17" aluminum water fittings (10-32 UNF threads) connect easily to standard 1/8" cooling tubing.
