The first full album of DOGADOGA, a new band led by Fumiya Enuma, is now available on vinyl! After the Yatsui Festival in June last year, Fumiya Enuma (Vo, Gt ex. Plenty) formed the band with four members, Hiroshi Fujiwara (Bass ex. #andymori), Kenta Furuichi (Drums), and Kyoichi Watanabe (reeds), who he had met through the support of 20thCentury (Tonisen). While claiming to be post-punk, the full album is finally released with 12 gems that strangely and pleasantly mix various elements such as jazz, Latin, and dub. The groove, which has been polished through a tour of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka with YO-KING & KI, and a solo live performance, drags listeners into a frenzy on the dance floor. The band has already received high praise and attention from many big artists, including the four singles released in advance. We formed the band about a year ago, and I'm relieved that we've finally been able to release an album. We initially formed to be a punk band, but each member is a musician active in a different genre scene (rock, pop, jazz, folk, etc... ), so the end result is mysterious music of an indeterminate genre. We really like everything about it, both intended and unintended. We would be happy if lots of people could listen to it. And we'd be even happier if you came to our live shows and danced wildly.
