The Circle Pad Pro is not compatible with "New" 3DS XL

The Circle Pad Pro is a Nintendo-made controller add-on that adds one additional analog stick and two shoulder buttons to the original 3DS model. It is known as the Slider Pad in Europe and as the Slide Pad Expansion in Japan. It was released on April 19, 2013 in the US.

The New 3DS and New 3DS XL include a second "C-Stick" that performs the same functions. Games that work with the Circle Pad also work with the New 3DS controls.
