Ever wanted to dive deep into a thrilling narrative that's entirely your own? Get ready to uncover secrets and craft an unforgettable tale of heists and hijinks with Classified! A Solo Journaling RPG! This isn't just a game; it's an immersive experience designed for one player to become an agent tasked with completing capers by acquiring targets for your mysterious client.
Your objective in Classified! is clear: complete those capers and earn promotions as your agent rises through the ranks. To pull off a successful caper, your agent will perform actions, using their stats to resolve card-drawn events that happen while on assignment. These events can throw a wrench in your plans, from gadgets malfunctioning to a new target suddenly popping up, or even miscommunications with your handler. A simple die roll determines whether your agent’s actions succeed or fail; string together multiple successes, and your caper is a win!
Along the way, you’ll meticulously document every success, every failure, and every caper in your Debriefing Document. While Classified! is designed to be played over multiple exhilarating sessions, you can absolutely resolve a full story during one long journaling marathon if you prefer. The game ends when your agent has successfully acquired a set number of targets (determined by your chosen difficulty) or failed three capers, whichever comes first.
To play Classified!, you’ll need:
- Somewhere to write your Debriefing Document (a journal or notebook works great!).
- A standard deck of playing cards (jokers included).
- A four-sided die (at least four dice are recommended for optimal gameplay), though a full set of polyhedral dice is an optional bonus.
- A copy of this rulebook for all your reference and prompts.
With this purchase, you'll get a 24-page rule and reference book, packed with everything you need: access to an agent character sheet template on Notion, a printable agent character sheet, a handy reference page, and a target tracker. This work is based on Caltrop Core, a testament to clever game design, though this game isn't directly affiliated with Titanomachy RPG.
Get ready to go deep undercover and write your own thrilling spy saga – your mission, should you choose to accept it, begins now!
