Common Grackle - Common Grackle - Old Dog New Tricks Who This [Vinyl]
Barcode: 634457057982Common Grackle is the musical duo of witty alternative rock songwriter Gregory Pepper and indie hip-hop heavyweight producer Factor Chandelier. 9 years ago, Fake Four released Common Grackles The Great Depression which immediately became a cult hit among the labels fanbase. Old Dog New Tricks Who This features the same familiar sound with a modern twist, plus demos and old catalog favorites.
Gregory Pepper, Southern Ontarios elder statesman of self-deprecating basement pop, recently released the full-length I Know Now Why You Cry on Fake Four. His trademark sound incorporates indie-folk, fuzzy nerd-rock, and buoyant electro-pop often with an abundance of baroque arrangements and ornate production. Gregory has shared tour runs with Ceschi and has been praised by Canadas Exclaim! magazine for his music and illustrations. Factor Chandelier, hailing from Saskatoon, Canada, has received praise from Hip-Hop DX, Pop Matters, RESPECT Magazine, and Vice for his cinematic hip-hop sound, and Factor was named Hip Hop Artist of the Year at the WCMA and SMAs. He holds production credits on releases by Ceschi, Myka 9, Kay the Aquanaut, Astronautalis, Onry Ozzborn and countless others.
The fanbase behind each of these creators will be sure to jump with excitement at the return of Common Grackle after a 9-year hiatus.
