DART Mission Pin Collection (ONLINE ORDER ONLY)

The DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) mission pin collection! This is a special 3 pin set, designed to celebrate the DART mission. Featuring the DART mission patch, a pin of the DART probe and also a representation of the minor-planet moon Dimorphos, of the double asteroid Didymos, into which DART will impact in September of 2022. DART is a mission by NASA aimed to deliberately crash the probe into Dimorphos to see what effect it would have on the orbit. A follow up mission is planned by ESA (European Space Agency) called Hera to do a detailed reconnaissance and assessment in 5 years. The background to this pin set represents the orbital profile of DART and Dimorphos from launch through to impact!
