31-track 2CD collection of classic extended 12-inch dub mixes from the Joe Gibbs' stable. Almost all tracks new to CD. Dub mixes of numerous classic reggae hits. Mixed by legendary dub master, Errol Thompson. In the late 70s, the Jamaican music industry was transformed by the introduction of the 12" single; a format that not only allowed for a longer playing time, but also provided a superior audio experience, with a greater dynamic range. Of those Kingston-based producers who had sufficient funds to regularly release records on the format, none were more prolific than Joe Gibbs, whose output between 1978 and 1984 included a raft of 'disco-mix' singles.
