Dolorean - The Unfazed [CD] (ONLINE ORDER ONLY)

For nearly a decade Al James alter-ego, Dolorean, has been writing and recording music in Portland, OR, starting with 2003s Not Exotic, which landed the young poet/songwriter on the review page of the Sunday New York Times review section for its beautiful, thought-provoking songs and James elegantly sparse vocals (early comparisons were Will Oldham, Elliott Smith, Nick Drake and Sam Beam). The bands '70s folk feel, embellished with tasteful string and keyboard parts, enveloped listeners in a seductive world of warm melancholy and haunting songs. People lucky enough to see the band or discover their music shared it with friends. The Unfazed, is a nod to the newfound spiritual strength of James and re-introduces a veteran band with a fresh sense of identity and a confidence forged in the shared belief in their music and the love of what they do.
