Flowing from song to song, Cervantes calls to mind the alt-rock vigor of Oasis and Cage the Elephant, while evoking the bittersweet blues of The Rolling Stones' Tattoo You. Like Eric Clapton's first solo outing in 1970, Dude calls upon his tour buddies to join him in the studio featuring members of Howlin Rain, Sacri Monti, Sure Fire Soul Ensemble, and MRS. HENRY. Recorded and mixed to 2" tape, the record is chock full of guitars, strings, horns, harmonies, delicate intimacy, and plenty of rock n roll savage.Dreamers is written from the perspective of a hopeful quixotic, and represents a leap forward in the songwriting and maturity of Cervantes as an artist.
