Local Suicide's critically acclaimed 2022 debut, Eros Anikate, was titles after a phrase from Sophocles' Antigone. Eros Anikate translates to "love invincible", a fitting name for an album that celebrates emotional resilience, cultural connection, and artistic collaboration. Rooted in the duo's signature 'technodisco' sound, the album blends retro-futuristic synths, moody basslines, and tongue-in-cheek storytelling with a modern, genre-blurring edge. It's a deeply personal project born during the pandemic and inspired by their travels and encounters along the way - a sonic love letter to their global network of friends and collaborators.
