Octo Octa (aka Maya Bouldry-Morrison) is an openly autobiographical artisteager to tell her story as a radical queer trans woman polyamorous witch. Herb2b and romantic partner Eris Drew is a DJ and producer who runs the T4T LUV NRG recording label from the log cabin they share in New Hampshire.Their compilation for fabric is an all-vinyl affair recorded in their abode in thewoods. Some of the records have been in their collection for decades. The mix is about letting go and trusting that change is good during a time when the veryidea of hope is under challenge. The duo are collage artists so a variety ofthemes are woven throughout the mix, with narratives reappearing via our use of drops, scratches, and doubles.The chosen tracks combine to bring about an emotionally joyful celebration ofhouse music across the decades, from the rare grooves of Global Method to themore recent hook of Alec Falconers New Junk City, and the curators very ownelectro-charged exclusives written and produced this year.
