Sonically, the album pulls inspiration from the rich musical world that was nourished by Jean’s mother as a young child growing up between the US and Mexico. Here Jean flourishes in the impact of great artists that shaped him, such as Prince, Stevie Wonder, Modest Mouse, Zapp & Roger, and the other sounds from the 80s that his mother loved across pop, dance, rock, R&B, and more. Staying true to that era that nurtured some of music’s greatest icons that was founded on live instrumentation, the album features complete live instrumentation seen through the stunning sonic arrangements.
