I Became Birds is a dizzying tightrope act, dancing between intimate melodies and gently progressive songwriting flourishes with a dexterity that belies their sonic base of aggressive, throat-shredding emotive hardcore. It's concept record about discovering & accepting one's gender identity veiled in a story about a pair of conjoined twins separated at birth, by the church of scientology, who escape the church to sew themselves back together before the end of the world.
