In America, The Byrds took Dylan's songs and sprinkled some jingle-jangle on them to essentially invent folk rock. In the UK Dylan's songs would prove pivotal in the development of British folk rock with Fairport Convention, Fotheringay and Sandy Denny, all taking their cues from Bob's lead.
