The talented female vocalist Armenta Richardson first came into prominence as a singer for the funk/soul band Majik that started in New York and became very big in France in the early 1980's. in the mid-1980's she reprised her hit "I Wanna Be with You" for the legendary Street Level label with Amir Bayyan (brother of Robert "Kool" Bell of Kool & the Gang), the writer of the song, producing the track. The song subsequently became a big hit in Europe and is now considered a boogie classic. Presented here is the original 12' single, complete with a bonus club mix and instrumental. All selections newly re-mastered.
