Variants
- Howdy! – Say howdy to Pricklepuss the Cactus Cat! A desert creature of legend, Pricklepuss is not quite cactus, not quite cat. This mischievous little critter is as friendly as he is prickly, and he’s delighted to make your acquaintance!
- Cat Nap – Cactus Cats have prickly, green quills, and a body that resembles a cross between a desert cactus and a bobcat, with a long, branched tail. Pricklepuss has often been seen sporting a stunning pink bloom as well.
- Caboose – Cactus Cats are known for their chilling “wail” that can be heard in the desert nights. If you ever hear an eerie, wailing rendition of “Home on the Range” late at night, Pricklepuss could be close by.
- Tail Chase – Cactus Cats are nocturnal, emerging at night to slash open cacti and drink the fermented sap within, often to the point of intoxication. But Pricklepuss is always sure to drink responsibly!
- Loaf – Cactus Cats are native to the American Southwest. Living amongst the desert cacti, they sit motionless by day to soak in the midday sun and its nutrients. Pricklepuss can often be seen sunning amidst the saguaros of the Sonoran desert.
- Pounce – Cactus Cats are protectors of the desert, using their sharp spines to defend against predators and intruders. Pricklepuss himself is a local hero amongst his desert friends.
- Cattywampus – Cactus Cats often hide in the shadows to sneak up on unsuspecting prey. Pricklepuss can get quite creative with his hiding spots; you might say he has this one in the bag.
Scientific name: Cactifelinus inebrius. But you can call him Pricklepuss.
