Kiiroi Tori [LP] (ONLINE ORDER ONLY)

Nearly seven years since their debut seven inch release, Tone Scientists are back with the five song "Kiiroi Tori" EP. The project joins Mike Watt and Bucky Pope, the latter of whom assumes the producer role this time around, with drummer John Herndon of Tortoise and two longtime Watt collaborators, flute/sax player Vince Meghrouni and keyboard player Pete Mazich. Like their first release, the EP includes an ambitious Sun Ra cover, with their distinctive take on "The Sun One", along with four tunes penned by Watt and Pope.The release will be available on two limited 12" vinyl pressings, one black and another on yellow swirl vinyl, as well as digital formats. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner (DSG Mastering) at 45RPM, with vinyl pressed at Furnace Record Pressing.
