Vinyl LP pressing. Pioneering rock 'n' roller, Chuck Berry is one of the most important figures in popular music. His sound captured the imaginations of 1950s teenagers across the world like no other. Revered by artists like The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Brian Wilson, and Joe Cocker, without Berry all would have sounded very different. Widely acknowledged as the "Father of Rock 'n' Roll, Berry was one of the very first musicians to be inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame when it launched in 1986. Speaking of launches, his music was considered so pivotal in the understanding of contemporary popular culture, that it is featured on the Golden Record, carried by space probe, Voyager 1 - still transmitting from the farthest reaches of the known universe. This collection features a veritable banquet of Berry's greatest hits, showcasing the lyrical and musical talent that has made him such an iconic artist including the timeless "Maybellene", "Roll Over Beethoven", "Johnny B. Goode", "Wee Wee Houra", "School Day (Ring! Ring! Goes The Bell)" and "Almost Grown"
