Malifaux Second Edition: Hungering Darkness (ONLINE ORDER ONLY)

Before the Breach opened, there were many powerful creatures, and the Hungering Darkness was one of them, though it had a different name then. During the great raid, when many other powerful creatures were confined, the Hungering Darkness's penchant for privacy allowed it to escape. Centuries later, two Neverborn happened upon its debilitated form and realised that with such great power restored, they would find strength by proximity.

The Neverborn took on disguises, and they found a home for the Hungering Darkness in the basement of Jakob Lynch's Honeypot Casino. When Lynch showed a remarkable immunity to the Brilliance, the Hungering darkness realised that he was the perfect candidate to become its vessel. It is now engaged in a dangerous gambit to spread its addictive Brilliance by giving Lynch control over its manifestation.
