"Metal Moon" was recorded in analog and then transferred to high-resolution digital from the original master tapes. The cutting was done without digital limiting during mastering, preserving the original mix's dynamic range. This provides a different listening experience compared to CDs.

The fourth album also features Masami Tsuchiya as producer and Michael Zimmerling as engineer. Despite having only six tracks, it stands as a highly accomplished work comparable to a full-length album. Notably, Nigel Godrich, who later produced for Radiohead, participated as an assistant engineer during this period.
