The Mounthaven Militia is the literal definition of an immovable wall. As the foundational troop choice of the Action Pack, these tenacious Dwarves form the core and backbone upon which any army of this faction is built. If you are looking for subtlety, look elsewhere: the militia is in Lindwurm to absorb the most brutal punishment, hold their ground, and exhaust your opponent's patience through sheer metallurgical stubbornness.
They are tough—unbelievably tough. We are talking about the first basic unit in the game to break the mold with an astonishing profile of 3 Wounds, turning them into true tanks on an infantry scale. Forget about quick casualties; taking down a single member of this militia requires a disproportionate effort that your opponent will pay for dearly.
What does it bring to your army?
This unit redefines what it means to "hold the line" thanks to an insuperable combination of stamina and battlefield control:
- The Action Pack Anchor: As the primary core unit of the starter box, they are the indispensable piece for learning the game and the tactical pillar that protects your more specialized troops.
- Resilient Warriors (3 Wounds): Their tremendous physical stamina and highly effective defense make them an implacable block on the front lines.
- Custom Blocks (Switches): Their equipment and discipline never fail. Through their dice switches, they can add extra blocks during skirmishes, neutralizing enemy damage and making eliminating them a Herculean task.
- Unstoppable Conquest Specialists: They possess an exceptionally high conquest value to score points and secure scenarios. Best of all, this conquest value does not decrease when the unit drops to its reduced profile (even when down to its last 2 miniatures), maintaining the exact same pressure on objectives until their final breath.
