• DS Lite Compatibility: You can play most Nintendo DS and DS Lite software on a DS Lite from any region.
• No Region Locking for standard DS games: Physical Nintendo DS games are not region-locked. So, a European (PAL) game will work on a North American (NTSC) DS Lite, and vice-versa.
• DSi Exception: Region locking does apply to DSiWare games and DSi-exclusive game cards (designed specifically for Nintendo DSi and DSi XL). However, this is not relevant for the DS Lite, which lacks these features.
• Language: While the console is region-free, the language of the game itself is determined by the game cartridge, not the console. Some games offer language options within the game itself.
• System Language: You can usually change the system language of the DS Lite to English if needed.
