Orchestrated Energy is a limited edition release from Los Angeles based producer Dday One, known for his sample-driven compositions that bridge hip hop, sound collage, and electroacoustic experimentation. This collection features early and previously unreleased tracks, sourced from personal archives and created during the formative years of his practice.
Released in celebration of the 20 year anniversary of his debut album Loop Extensions, the record offers raw sketches, alternate takes, and deep cuts that showcase Dday One’s tactile approach to beatmaking, crafted entirely on hardware samplers with a focus on rhythm, silence, and layered texture.
The cover art by Belgian collage artist Ben Coosmans visually reflects the nonlinear quality of the music, pairing archival material with a present-day perspective.
While the album is also available digitally, the vinyl edition is limited to 200 copies worldwide and produced with collectors in mind. Pressed with intention and presented in a full color glossy jacket, Orchestrated Energy is built for those who value deep listening, physical format, and the intersection of music and visual art. A coveted piece for collectors drawn to records with depth, rarity, and a story worth holding onto.
