Defcee & Parallel Thought – Other Blues
Originally planned for 2022, Other Blues began with a shared respect between Defcee and Parallel Thought but was delayed by life’s curveballs. In July 2024, the project came to life during a focused week in Freehold, where Defcee recorded the entire album at Parallel Thought’s studio.

Blending raw introspection with jazz-laced, smoked-out beats, Other Blues explores joy, grief, swagger, and self-doubt in equal measure. With guest verses from Fatboi Sharif and Tree, it’s a deeply personal testament to growth, family, and staying grounded—even when music isn't the only priority.
