Alright, citizens, get ready for some truly hilarious chaos and strategic backstabbing! Welcome to Paranoia: Alpha Complex – The Board Game, where the Computer is your friend, mutants lurk, and treason is just around the corner!
This is a competitive game for 2-6 players, where each of you controls a Troubleshooter, tasked with carrying out the Computer’s (often baffling) orders. Your ultimate goal? Get promoted through the spectrum of Clearance Levels, and hopefully attain the coveted rank of Ultraviolet. But Alpha Complex is a dangerous place, full of mutants, secret societies, and other troublemakers. It’s quite likely that Troubleshooters will die. (It’s also quite likely that they will, in fact, be mutants, members of secret societies, and troublemakers themselves!) When a Troubleshooter bites the dust, high-tech rapid cloning procedures ensure they can get back to work almost instantly. Clones are limited though, so don’t be too frivolous with your lives… or your teammates'!
Sometimes, the only way to get ahead (or, indeed, get anywhere at all) is to bend the strict rules of Alpha Complex... but watch your back. If anyone witnesses your (totally justifiable?) acts of despicable treason and lets the Computer know, things might not go so well for you. Especially if the roving GuardBots have anything to do with it. This game is a masterclass in strategic betrayal and survival!
The game features 30 Alpha Complex modular map tiles, allowing you to create a dynamic and ever-changing game board each session, offering endless replayability and strategic variety.
Inside the box, you’ll find high-quality components to immerse you in the glorious absurdity:
-
30 x Alpha Complex Modular Map Tiles
-
195 x Cards (for events, secrets, and more!)
-
93 x Tokens (to track everything from injuries to betrayals)
-
6 x Troubleshooter Standees
-
1 x Clearance Tracker
-
1 x Comprehensive Rulebook
Designed for 2-6 players, ages 14 and up, with a playtime of approximately 60-90 minutes, Paranoia: Alpha Complex – The Board Game is a perfect choice for fans of strategy and humor-filled games. Best of luck, citizen, and remember: The Computer is your friend! Trust the Computer!
