Can you walk the Path of the Aram Thyr?
From the mind behind Ker Nethalas and Sacrifice and in partnership with Gallant Knight Games, comes a progression fantasy roleplaying game about warriors striving for perfection. Welcome to the proto-Celtic continent of Aestran, where you will find wonderous new beasts, treasures, and lands to explore! You will set out to you improve yourself, your martial powers, and craft your own legend in the annals of history!
Path of the Aram Thyr features:
- The unexplored continent of Aestran, a unique pre-medieval setting.
- A familiar D20 ruleset, adapted to the unique mechanics introduced by the game, but still compatible with other D20 systems.
- A classless character creation system that allows you to tailor your warrior to your liking, picking from 10 different starting Paths, such as the Path of Celestial Fury, Path of the Rolling Boulder, Path of the Invincible Blood, and more.
- Dozens and dozens of techniques for you to discover and learn, allowing you to tailor your fighting style to exactly what you want it to be. Learn by defeating enemies and stealing their techniques, as well as through exploring Aestran.
- Solo or GM-less co-op rules, so you can play the game without a Game Master.

Path of the Aram Thyr is a Role-Playing Game based on the D20 system. This means it’s largely compatible with most, if not all, other D20 retro-clones and published material, new and old. In Path of the Aram Thyr, you play as one of the titular Aram Thyr, a warrior in their path towards perfection in the art of war, exploring strange lands and dealing with unimaginably powerful foes and beasts.
As an Aram Thyr, you have mastered everything they taught you in your homeland of Eorna Gynn. You thought yourself a master, and few could really stand to face you. But then, the mists that made travel outside of Eorna Gynn suddenly vanished, and a new land opened to those brave enough to traverse the Sea of Shards. Upon arriving on the shores of a place the locals call Aestran, you quickly discovered that you are far from the master you once thought you were. A new world of power and improvement opened before you, and you set on your path.
Path of the Aram Thyr is best played with a Game Master (GM) and a single Player Character (PC). There is nothing stopping you from playing it with a bunch of friends, but the game thrives when it’s “me versus the world”, and this is best achieved when there’s a single PC. We have also provided simple GM-less rules and tools, for those wanting a purely solo, or co-op experience.
