Phil Shoenfelt is an English guitarist/singer/songwriter/author and a veteran of the UK and New York punk and post-punk scenes During the early 1980's was the frontman and principle songwriter for the New York-based band Khmer Rouge. In the five years the band was together, Khmer Rouge became a favorite on the New York club scene, playing such legendary venues as CBGB, Danceteria, Hurrah and the Peppermint Lounge. Paranoia.com is much more in a hard rock direction , bands like The Stooges, Joy Division, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club were an influence, as well as Phil's old NYC band Khmer Rouge.
