'These brilliant plays for young actors enable directors to personalise and mould the production around the individual theatre company they're working with, no matter how big the group is, or who is in it. The playwright has made them totally adaptable.'
Bringing together three exciting, immersive, one-act plays for 14-25 year olds, and with a unique foreword by the experienced playwright/director, this anthology allows directors and performers the refreshing freedom to create a truly remarkable and personalised piece of theatre for any size or mix of company. The Green Room - Platform One: This deliciously dark comedy, set in the rehearsal room of a small amateur dramatics group, brings together a rich mixture of spirited characters. Amidst a chaotic rehearsal we get a glimpse into the world behind the scenes, where the brilliance of the play's wit and timing is offset by its dramatically dark ending. White Collar: Amongst the lively tables of a bustling bistro sits a raucous hen party, an awkward first date and an intense business meeting. As the noise level rises, and this compelling drama gathers momentum, with revealing truths the complex lives of the diners become inextricably entangled. OH GUMTREE: As the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve, five strangers find themselves together. We journey through their stories as each one comes to terms with what has brought them to such a place. Time appears to stand still right up to the enlightening final twist.Number of Pages: 282Dimensions: 0.64 x 8 x 5 INPublication Date: May 31, 2022All Sales are Final.
