Filifin's debut album, featuring the young kamélé n'goni player (a six-string traditional instrument), is an extraordinary blend of rural Malian blues and the heroic chants of bush hunters. In a duo with guitarist N'Gou Bagayoko, Filifin delivers striking songs rooted in the stories of his village in southern Mali. With force and intensity, a new kind of blues suddenly emerges... astonishing.
