Erik Tagg, also known as Eric Tagg, is an American singer, keyboardist, bassist, songwriter, and author, born on January 9, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, known for his smooth jazz and pop music style. He began his musical career in the Netherlands as band member of Beehive (1973-1974) and Rainbow Train (1975-1979). "Rendez-vous", his 2nd solo album, released in 1977 and produced by Hans Vermeulen from Rainbow Train, can be characterized by it's mellow melodies and sophisticated arrangements, often blending elements of jazz, pop, and Rhythm & Blues. The album has a distinctive late 70s soft rock and jazz fusion vibe and feels like a celebration of romantic escapism and lyrical storytelling.
