War has once again engulfed the Woodland, and the Root: The Roleplaying Game Deluxe Edition, coupled with the Travelers and Outsiders supplement, offers an unrivaled immersion into this award-winning universe by Leder Games. This comprehensive package equips you with everything you need to carve your mark as a vagabond in a world dominated by conflict, allegiance, and survival.
The Deluxe Edition includes a 6" x 9" hardcover book with a metallic foil-stamped cover for both the Core Rulebook and the Travelers & Outsiders Rulebook, housed in a hard slipcase. Complete with a silk bookmark and full-color interior featuring artwork by Kyle Ferrin, this edition offers nine unique playbooks, an easy-to-follow map creation system, and comprehensive GM materials. You'll find innovative mechanics for managing equipment, weapons, combat, and detailed instructions for running the game, alongside a full clearing, Gelilah's Grove.
The Travelers and Outsiders supplement expands the core game to include the first four expansion factions—The Riverfolk Company, Lizard Cult, Grand Duchy, and Corvid Conspiracy—each with their own interests in the Woodland's resources. This supplement introduces 10 new playbooks, dozens of expanded moves and tags, robust faction turn mechanics, and two new clearings—Heartwood and Sundew Bend—that focus on adventures involving these new factions and their conflicts.
Root: The RPG is a fantasy adventure for 3 to six players, where woodland creatures vie for money, justice, and freedom from powers far greater than them. With this Deluxe Edition and the Travelers and Outsiders supplement, fame, glory, and unforgettable adventures await in the Woodland!
