Something Else is the first of two full-length offerings from The Brian Jonestown Massacre to be released in 2018 with a self-titled LP following in the fall. Recorded between 2017 and 2018, this is the prolific purveyors of drone-laden psychedelia's seventeenth full-length release overall, a less experimental departure which finds the Anton Newcombe commandeered outfit revisiting their more traditional roots. Sure to please old and new fans alike, Something Else is introduced by lead cut "Hold That Thought," a reflective acoustic pscyh number with pounding drums.
