Limited edition of 750 numbered copies on translucent red coloured 180-gram audiophile vinyl. The Only Ones, a British band formed in the 1970s, carved their unique niche in the punk and new wave scene with their distinctive sound. Fronted by the enigmatic Peter Perrett, the band's music was a blend of raw energy, poetic lyricism, and infectious melodies. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1978, remains a cult classic, featuring timeless tracks like "Another Girl, Another Planet," a song often hailed as one of the greatest punk rock anthems. Special View by The Only Ones is a 1979 compilation album tailored for the U.S. market, showcasing the best of the British band's early work. Known for blending punk energy with power pop melodies and poetic lyricism, The Only Ones gained cult status in the late 1970s. This release features standout tracks such as "Another Girl, Another Planet", "The Whole of the Law", and "No Peace for the Wicked", highlighting Peter Perrett's distinctive vocals and the band's sharp musicianship. Special View serves as an accessible introduction to the band's unique sound, melding punk rock with romantic and introspective songwriting.
