Digitally remastered edition of this 1984 album from the British Prog/Art rockers. The Spell was initially pressed as a limited edition vinyl record and self-distributed by The Enid. Unavailable on CD for a long time, this re-issue of the Spell features the original cover artwork from the vinyl sleeve, alongside the lyrics and additional notes about the recording. "The Spell is a musical allegory in which the seasons are used to depict the cyclic and seasonal nature of all things." the music begins with the casting of the Spell; a dark Wagnerian fanfare where the allusion to Parsifal is obvious.
