Nightbearer are one of the most consistent bands on Testimony Records. The young band from Westphalia released their debut full-length album, "Tales of Sorcery and Death," in 2019. Merciless death metal with a sawing HM-2 sound dominates the soundscape, yet axe master Dome already reveals his penchant for virtuoso soundscapes. The combination of brutal death metal and intense melodies would become a trademark of the band, which they further perfected on their subsequent albums. The song "Lycanthropic Death Squad" is still not only a nasty headbanger, but also a staple of Nightbearer's live shows.
