This model assembly kit recreates the French Light Tank H39 making it the fourth French subject in Tamiya's 1/35 military miniature series.

Before WWII, French Army developed the H35 for the Cavalry and in 1939, the H39 appeared as the improved version of the H35. With improved cast pieces such as hull and turret, the H39 featured a 120hp engine and L/33 37mm gun, and it was in service in the German occupation of Norway in 1940. After the French surrender, German forces upgraded numerous H39 tanks and deployed them as a German tank.

• The complex turret is realistically depicted, and features ease of assembly facilitated by slide molding.
• Assembly type tracks have one-piece straight sections and realistic upper "sag".

• Includes variant-specific cupola, visors, engine grille, idler wheels, suspension bogies and antenna base. Choose between French or German Army specification.
• Metal chains are also included for the recreation of French Army tank.
• Comes with a choice of two marking options to recreate a French Army tank in 1940 and a German Army tank in 1945. A full-color painting guide is useful for camouflage painting.
