Tamiya 1/48 JGSDF Light Armored Vehicle Plastic Model Kit (ONLINE ORDER ONLY)

This is an assembly model of a modern day 4x4 light armored vehicle in Tamiya's ever growing 1/48 scale series.

Manufactured for the JGSDF by Japanese firm Komatsu, the vehicle was first delivered to units from 2002 and provided an instant defensive upgrade from the armored vehicles it replaced. The ability to transport it by helicopter or aircraft enhances the JGSDF's mobility. Aside from the 5.56mm machine gun, it can also be fitted with a 12.7mm machine gun, or even anti-tank weapons. One of the more notable deployments of the vehicle was in the JGSDF's Iraq Humanitarian Assistance operation after the second Gulf War, and this model recreates the version updated based upon experience the JGSDF gained there.
