Written by Rihito Takarai, "Ten Count" follows the journey of Tadaomi Shirotani, a successful and meticulous corporate secretary who suffers from severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Haunted by his deep-rooted fears and anxieties, Shirotani's life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Riku Kurose, a compassionate and enigmatic therapist.
As their sessions progress, Kurose introduces Shirotani to a unique therapy method known as the "ten count." This method challenges Shirotani to confront his fears head-on, pushing him out of his comfort zone and towards personal growth. With each count, Shirotani begins to unravel the layers of his past and confront the traumas that have shaped his present.
However, as Shirotani delves deeper into his therapy, he finds himself entangled in a complex web of emotions. The boundaries between patient and therapist blur, and an undeniable connection blossoms between them. Will Shirotani find solace and healing in Kurose's presence, or will their relationship only serve to deepen his inner turmoil?
With its beautifully drawn illustrations and thought-provoking narrative, "Ten Count" explores themes of love, trust, and self-discovery. Rihito Takarai's delicate touch brings these characters to life, capturing the raw vulnerability and emotional depth of their journey.
