Lord Huron — the genre-defying project led by Los Angeles-based songwriter and visual artist Ben Schneider — unveils their highly anticipated fifth album, The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1, via Mercury Records. Known for their evocative storytelling and immersive soundscapes, the band continues their tradition of crafting “atmospheric music of exquisite craft” (Wall Street Journal).

First teased in early 2025 with the singles “Who Laughs Last” and “Nothing I Need,” this expansive new record was written and co-produced by Schneider and features longtime bandmates Tom Renaud, Mark Barry, and Miguel Briseño. The album also boasts unique collaborations, including actress Kristen Stewart and Blonde Redhead’s Kazu Makino.

Inspired by the mysterious machine depicted on the cover art, The Cosmic Selector asks: What if you could choose your fate like picking a song from a jukebox? And what if you got it wrong?

This Indie Exclusive edition is pressed on glow-in-the-dark splatter vinyl and includes a full 12-track journey that blends surreal narratives with Lord Huron’s signature cinematic folk-rock.
