by Bill Legend (Author)
Bill Legend's early love affair with Rock'n'Roll would eventually lead him to unexpected fame in a renown successful rock band...Quite a feat for a somewhat shy and quiet Christian lad. As part of his legacy he now gives insight into his role as the original drummer for Marc Bolan & T.Rex during their meteoric rise to fame in the early seventies, and up until their 2020 induction into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in America. Many memorable tales he's been asked to share for some years, fondly recapturing recording sessions and concert performances worldwide. A personal account high-lighting the band's success throughout those formative years. How his faith became secondary, hidden within the constant touring and euphoria. He admits to putting his faith on a 'back-burner' due to the demands and life in T.Rex. Bill's story depicts his love for his band mates and their music, hoping that lovers of the band and readers in general, will find his experience honest, enlightening and refreshing. Hoping you will discover for yourselves the revelation and testimony of his Christian faith, unheard of in the world of Rock'n'Roll. Bill Legend was born and raised in England in the county of Essex, just east of London. Upon leaving school at sixteen he became an enthusiastic young apprentice, studying commercial art and design in a central London art studio. He began coupling his artistic skills with a love and passion for rock'n'roll, and soon became a regular recognised drummer on the professional circuit and in the recording studio. As a proud father of seven children, Bill's talents eventually led him to claiming the prized drum seat for Marc Bolan and his band T.Rex during their most popular and prolifically successful season in the early seventies, then eventually becoming a Rock'n'Roll Hall of Famer.
