Original Soundtrack – The Phoenician Scheme (Sea Foam Vinyl)
In Theaters May 30, 2025Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme arrives with a rich and evocative soundtrack that perfectly complements the film’s stylized vision and international ensemble cast. The album features a sweeping original score by Alexandre Desplat, seamlessly interwoven with selections from classical masters like Stravinsky, Bach, and Beethoven, as well as jazz gems from Gene Krupa, Glenn Miller, and a newly recorded piece by the Fuasi Abdul-Khaliq Sextet.
Desplat’s score pays homage to early 20th-century classical traditions, with several cues referencing Stravinsky’s L’Oiseau de feu (The Firebird). The soundtrack also includes standout jazz recordings like “Drum Boogie,” “A String of Pearls,” and the film-exclusive “Mud Bug.”
Pressed on sea foam color vinyl, the LP package features artwork from the film along with liner notes by Wes Anderson and Alexandre Desplat, making it a collector’s piece for cinephiles and audiophiles alike.
