Kill Rock Stars is proud to announce that riot grrrl pioneers Heavens to Betsy’s debut 7”, These Monsters Are Real, has been re-mastered from the original tapes and is available digitally for the first time ever in honor of its 25th anniversary! Formed by bassist/vocalist Corin Tucker (Sleater-Kinney, Filthy Friends) and drummer Tracy Sawyer (The Lies) in Olympia, WA in 1991, Heavens to Betsy made their debut at the legendary International Pop Underground Convention. Alongside their peers Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, and Team Dresch, they ushered in a new era of feminist punk whose influence continues to be felt today! A 7” reissue of These Monsters Are Real will be released in Fall 2018 and is available for pre-order now.
